LET THE LIGHT SHINE IN

If you want to let natural light into your home, using a sky light or solar tube is the best way to accomplish this goal. They both offer advantages and cost savings, and are a great way to bring light to dark places in your home such as, hallways, stairways, walk-in closets, kitchens, bathrooms, and/or laundry rooms.

SKY LIGHTS

Sky lights are a popular option for natural, energy-saving, light in your home. Sky lights can be more costly to install than solar tubes; however, they can add up to 30% more light to your space. Most skylights are easily installed on asphalt shingle roofs and can add a 'wow' effect to your homes design.

SOLAR TUBES

Solar tubes are usually a tubular skylight, 10 - 14 inch tube of sheet metal with a polished interior. The inside acts like a mirror, channeling light, and it's intensity from outside, delivering it inside your home. They are capped by a weather proof plastic globe on the roof, and fitted with a diffuser in the ceiling of the room where installed. The light, depending on the tube size, can illuminate from 200-300 square feet of your home. Installation can be less costly than skylights, as it does not require alterations to framing.
